The Coronavax project aims to prepare communities and governments for a COVID-19 vaccine. Our community interviews study asks what communication and information is needed regarding COVID-19 vaccination, and focuses on a number of broad community groups. We will ask how attitudes compare to other vaccines, if and why people are motivated to receive a vaccine, and uncover any community concerns or barriers to vaccination. We will also explore people’s experiences during the pandemic and lockdown.

We will communicate broad and anonymised findings from this interview study to numerous stakeholders including WA and Federal Government employees, through a series of open dialogues and other knowledge translation activities. These discussions aim to shape COVID-19 vaccination roll out in Western Australia and beyond, ensuring that any community concerns and needs are taken into account.
